Hurricane Juan hit Halifax on Sept 28, 2003. It totally devistated
halifax, hence the city was put into a state of emergency. Power was out all over the city; at St Marys it was out for 6 days.
I guess the only thing to do is look at these pics and see your yourself!
PS Thanks Aimee for the pics!! Saved me alot of scanning.

Above: A tree that just missed a car. This was right ourside Vanier House.
Below: The streets were filled with soo many people looking at the damage, walking their dogs, and trying to see if they
could clear some of the roads, needless to say, it was a busy day.

Above: A car crushed by a tree. It looked like it was new too.
Below: Bricks just fell off buildings everywhere.

This is a tree fallen over at the Public Gardens. Its prolly over 200 years old... now its gone fer good.

Above: Tower Road. This is pretty cleaned up right here, but if you look you can see the trees piled up on the sidewalks
like snow banks.
Below: This is me walking thru the trees on the sidewalks.

Above: A tree root lifted this piece of pavement so high that the car tire is _just_ balancing on it.
Below: The docks were torn up so badly, there were pieces of it about 20 or more metres on land.
